Capturing Stories. Preserving Memories.

Every life contains a story worth telling.

Through our Storytelling & Memory Preservation Project, we help older members of our community share their experiences, memories and life journeys in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Using photography, video and recorded interviews, we work alongside participants to capture personal histories that might otherwise be lost. These stories can become treasured keepsakes for families, future generations and the wider community.

Participants are encouraged to reflect on the people, places and moments that have shaped their lives, while developing confidence, connection and a renewed sense of purpose.

Our aims include:

• Recording personal life stories and memories
• Creating lasting family archives and legacy projects
• Reducing loneliness and social isolation
• Encouraging intergenerational understanding
• Developing interviewing, photography and filmmaking skills in young volunteers
• Celebrating the rich history and heritage of our local community

At Oakenspire, we believe that every person's story matters, and that preserving those stories strengthens both families and communities.

Because memories deserve to be remembered.
