Why This matters
Many people can experience low confidence, isolation or a lack of opportunities to try something new, meet others and discover what they are capable of.
Creative activity can provide a welcoming way to bring people together, develop skills and encourage self-expression without the pressure of a traditional classroom environment.
Oakenspire CIC exists to create those opportunities.
Through photography, film, creative workshops and community projects, we help people explore their creativity, build confidence, develop communication and teamwork skills and form new connections.
Our projects are designed to be practical, inclusive and enjoyable, with personal growth just as important as learning technical skills.

We believe successful community projects should be created with people, not simply for them.
Before developing new programmes, Oakenspire CIC listens to potential participants, community organisations and partners to understand what people need, what interests them and what might prevent them from taking part.
We use that feedback to help shape our workshops, activities and future projects.
